Position Summary:

UC Irvine, School of Medicine, Division of Cardiothoracic Surgery the Division of Cardiothoracic Surgery is an essential component of the comprehensive cardiovascular program at UC Irvine's School of Medicine. The goal of the program is to provide the highest level of care with the use of the most modern and cutting-edge surgical techniques and technologies. We also work closely in collaboration with cardiology and vascular surgery to partner in this endeavor. The program currently performs all aspects of adult cardiac surgery including coronary, valvular, aortic, heart failure (LVADs, Impella, ECMO), and arrhythmia. There are active TAVR as well as a TEVAR programs with procedures performed using the goal of UC Irvine, School of Medicine, Division of Cardiothoracic Surgery is to provide the highest quality cardiothoracic surgery services and outcomes, offer superb customer service, emphasize continuous quality improvement, encourage growth and diversity of services, provide responsible, cost-effective care, and prepare for the changing healthcare environment. The Department of Surgery at the University of California, Irvine School of Medicine is recruiting a Surgeon to assist in cardiac surgical procedures.

Compensation Range:

Commensurate with experience

Required:

Completion of surgical training in cardiothoracic surgery, general surgery, or vascular surgery An M.D. degree California Medical License

Preferred:

Experience assisting in cardiac surgery is preferred but not mandatory
