JOB SUMMARY:
Clemson University's Mechanical Engineering Department is looking for a Student Services Program Coordinator II to fulfill the following duties:
- Implements professional duties related to Mechanical Engineering including planning and development for academic enrollment.
- Assists and advises students.
- Maintain confidential student academic records.
- Gathers and analyze data for reports.
- Other duties as assigned.
JOB DUTIES:
50% - Essential - Student Advising
Advises students on academics, registration, scholarships, study abroad, and co-ops. Assists with transfer credits and course substitution approvals. Advises students on academic tracks ensuring appropriate course sequences are followed for track completion. Coordinates Academic Variance Requests process.
20% - Essential - Program Coordination
Works with the student services team to design, develop, and implement student support services for the academic programs in Mechanical Engineering. Implements changes in policies and procedures to enhance the program.
20% - Essential - Record-Keeping and Reporting
Maintains confidential records for all students in Mechanical Engineering. Checks all advising forms to ensure compliance with rules. Performs graduation checks. Coordinates assessment process for the undergraduate program.
10% - Essential - Event Facilitation
Works with the team to organize the new student orientations, research week events, annual departmental awards dinner, graduation events, and other events as required. Participates in departmental committees as a member and as an administrative resource.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Education Bachelor's Degree
Work Experience 2+ Years of relevant student program experience.
