JOB SUMMARY:

Clemson University's School of Computing is looking for a Student Services Program Coordinator II to fulfill the following duties:

  • Serves as the Associate Coordinator for Undergraduate Programs for the rapidly growing undergraduate program in the School of Computing.
  • Works closely with the Undergraduate Program Coordinator with course scheduling, registration, student advising, and areas related to continual improvement of academic programs.
  • Other Duties as Assigned.


JOB DUTIES:

50% - Essential - Registration Coordination:
Works closely with School of Computing leadership to manage student course registration. Projects future enrollment growth to map School needs. Manages complex logistics of curriculum scheduling and schedule-building components in advance of, and during, fall, spring, and summer terms. Works with Undergraduate Program Coordinator to process and record course override requests. Manages scheduling of courses and labs. Monitors seat inventories. Coordinates with the Registrar's office and other departments for logistics.

35% - Essential - Undergraduate Advising:
Maintains an advising load for academic counseling of School of Computing undergraduate students under the direction of the Undergraduate Program Coordinator. Analyzes student records in preparation for appointments. Advises students on academics, registration, and University resources. Provides advising record-keeping. Assists with new student orientation. Participates in training on advising best practices and policies.

15% - Essential - Data Analysis:
Analyzes student performance and data. Provides enrollment projections. Prepares and update reports related to student performance, registration history, facility utilization.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

Education Bachelor's Degree

Work Experience 2+ Years relevant academic advising experience.

PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS:

Education Master's Degree

Work Experience 2+ Years of academic advising; proficiency in computer skills including Microsoft Office, Outlook, and Web-based advising tools; Superior candidates will demonstrate strong interpersonal skills, the ability to encourage and empower students to make their own decisions, sensitivity to needs of a diverse student population.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Education Master's Degree

Work Experience 2+ Years of academic advising; proficiency in computer skills including Microsoft Office, Outlook, and Web-based advising tools; Superior candidates will demonstrate strong interpersonal skills, the ability to encourage and empower students to make their own decisions, sensitivity to needs of a diverse student population.

Standard Hrs: 37.5; Band: 05 ($ 33,494.00 - $ 44,500.00)
