JOB SUMMARY:

Clemson University's Alumni Relations and Development team is looking for an Administrative Coordinator to fulfill the following responsibilities:

  • Provides complex administrative support and coordination in the areas of donor cultivation, solicitation, stewardship, and marketing in support of the Senior Associate Vice President for Development in advancing fundraising initiatives in the areas of principal gifts, planned giving, and corporate and foundation relations.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.


JOB DUTIES:

50% - Essential - Provides support and coordination in all aspect of principal/major gifts, planned giving which includes trusts, charitable gift annuities, Wills, and other related estate planning areas, and with the corporate and foundations relations fundraising areas. Responsibilities include database records maintenance, communication, and acknowledgment of actions occurring in the various donor accounts in these areas. In conjunction with the Senior Associate Vice President for Development and the development teams reporting to the Senior Associate VP, coordinates communication and promotion efforts regarding University giving and legacy societies.

30% - Essential - Supports donor stewardship through the high-volume preparation of confidential and personalized correspondence on behalf of the Senior Associate Vice President for Development. Coordinates donor visits and events. Communicates with planned giving and principal gift prospects and their legal representatives, financial advisors, and colleagues.

20% - Essential - Coordinates preparation of newsletter, publications, donor documents, including donor profiles, and other marketing materials. Provides administrative support for the Senior Associate Vice President for Development in the areas of office management, travel scheduling, expense reporting, and other administrative duties. Serves as a liaison to provide budgeting information as well as advises on fiscal policy and procedures for development teams reporting to the Senior Associate VP. Responsible for other special projects as assigned.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

Education High School Diploma or Equivalent

Work Experience 6+ years relevant experience in a business or public administration setting and/or legal background; A bachelor's degree with 2 or more years of experience may be substituted for work experience.

BUDGETARY RESPONSIBILITIES

Monitors Budget - Does not provide input but is responsible for monitoring the departmental budget and may oversee fund allocation.
