Manages proposal and contract administration and reviews all proposals submitted by NHMFL faculty and faculty from various FSU Departments who utilizes the NHMFL research facilities.

Plans and compiles budgetary reports for long-range budget planning/forecasting with reliable conclusions that management can use to implement effective operational strategies. Plans, develops, organizes, monitors, and supervises the budgetary functions for the lab. Responsible for the development and preparation of the budget and related documents for the NHMFL’s five-year NSF award. Responsible for the preparation of the budget documents for the NHMFL and the off-site facilities, LANL and UF, submitted to the National Science Foundation for award renewals, annual funding and supplement funding. Responsible for the preparation and development of NHMFL budgetary reports.Qualifications Bachelor's degree and four years of experience related to budget, financial and/or accounting services; or a high school diploma/equivalent and experience in the same equal to eight years. (Note: post-high school education may substitute or experience at the equivalent rate.)

Experience with budget administration, accounting practices and contracts negotiation techniques.
Ability to manage multiple business systems to include administrative functions, developing policy and procedures, and oversight of contract administration.
Skill in preparing clear and concise reports, procedures, correspondence, and other written materials.
Computer skills to include experience with Microsoft Word and Excel or comparable software.
Knowledge of and the ability to apply the principles and practices to strategically align tasks and people with organizational goals and objectives.
Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
