Our Kennesaw campus is located at 1000 Chastain Road NW, Kennesaw, GA 30144. Our Marietta campus is located at 1100 South Marietta Parkway, Marietta, GA 30060.

Department Information
The Department of Geography and Anthropology offers a diverse range of programs including degrees in Anthropology, Geography, and Geospatial Sciences, minors in Anthropology, Environmental Studies, and Geography, and a certificates in Geographic Information Sciences and Land Surveying. Our faculty conduct research on space and culture in our community and around the globe. They are passionate about teaching and researching with undergraduates. Job Summary
Kennesaw State University is now accepting applications for a pool of open rank, part-time faculty positions. Rank is determined at the time of hiring and will be commensurate with experience.

Responsibilities
The Department of Geography and Anthropology at Kennesaw State University anticipates openings for part-time faculty to teach face to face and online sections of a four-field Introduction to Anthropology as well as a variety of undergraduate courses in the subfields of cultural anthropology, archaeology, linguistics, and physical anthropology. Part-time faculty are hired from the department's pool of applicants on a semester-by-semester basis. Assignments to faculty in the pool are based on departmental needs and are for one or two courses per semester. Applicants may be asked to teach in various modalities (face-to-face, hybrid, and online) and courses maybe be assigned at the Kennesaw or Marietta campus. Qualified out-of-state candidates with demonstrated success in online teaching are encouraged to apply.

Required Qualifications
Required Qualifications Include:

  • A Master's, PhD or other terminal degree, or its foreign equivalent is required.

Candidates with a minimum of 18 graduate level credit hours in anthropology along with relevant professional experience will also be considered.

Preferred Qualifications
Other qualifications include:
    Evidence of teaching and working with a culturally and an ethnically diverse community Experience teaching on-line or hybrid courses for online or hybrid sections

Record of past teaching at the undergraduate level
