STANDARD HOURS: 37.5 hours per week. Monday - Thursday 8:00am - 4:00pm or 10:00am - 6:00pm; Fridays 8:00am - 4:00pm. Hours may vary based on need.

Administer wide variety of tests, ensuring proper administration, and test security and student confidentiality. Interact with internal and external customers to administer tests, communicate test-related information, and resolve issues. Ensure compliance in order to maintain authorized site status with vendors and agencies.

Essential Functions Statement(s)

  • Provide the best customer service possible to internal and external customers, in person, phone, via email and serve as liaison between customer and appropriate staff across the college.
  • Perform all processes involved in administering Assessment Center tests in accordance with Assessment Center policies, vendor/agency/governmental requirements, and accepted testing methods.
  • Administer GED Testing program throughout NWTC District in accordance with GED and Pearson VUE regulations. Understand and interpret GED and Pearson VUE regulations. Ensure district-wide compliance in order to maintain NWTC's authorized and addendum testing sites. Represent the needs of DPI as they related to HSED and GED testing. Advocate for students and faculty in negotiating GED policy waivers. Train and initiate certification for Pearson VUE test examiners.
  • Ensure test security and secure testing environment. Maintain confidentiality of student/tester data and information.
  • Learn and utilize testing software systems. Earn and maintain vendor certifications.
  • Update and maintain database systems with student and testing data. Perform necessary administrative tasks and processes to prepare individual for testing.
  • Work with IIT and vendors to install and upgrade testing software and equipment. Troubleshoot and resolve problems. Maintain computers, scanners, printers, and related equipment used for testing. Troubleshoot and report equipment problems.
  • Develop expertise in assigned testing system. Implement upgrades, develop enhancements, and maintain integrity of the system throughout the district. Investigate, modify, and program test system functionality. Resolve issues and inconsistencies. Communicate testing policies and practices to faculty, staff and district high schools.
  • Participate in all cross-training activities and be involved in training and development of new Assessment Center Employees and occasional faculty on testing procedures.

Education: Minimum of Associate's degree.
Experience: Minimum of three years of experience in teaching, training, counseling or testing

Computer Skills

Microsoft Word and Excel. Ability to maintain electronic records in database management system.

Other Requirements

Demonstrated knowledge of proper test administration procedures including computer-based testing.

Must hold a valid driver’s license and be insurable under the District’s standard insurance policy terms.
