Extension Program Assistant II

4-H Youth Development

Carter County

Pay Grade 34

This is a part time position. Continuation of this position is dependent upon continued funding

and satisfactory work performance.

 

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Plan, execute, and evaluate 4-H Youth Development educational programs under the direction of the Extension Director.
  • Implement, evaluate, and report 4-H Youth Development programs related to organization, leadership, recognition, sponsorship.
  • Assume responsibility for all youth projects, activities, shows, events, and committees.
  • Secure and train volunteer leaders and serve as an educational resource for educational youth programs within the county.
  • Responsible to the County Extension Director and must keep current on the latest research information in youth development.
  • Provide leadership for a program of activities that meets the needs of all eligible clientele regardless of race, color, national origin, sex, age, disability, religion or veteran status.
  • Assume other duties as assigned.
  • Be responsible for up to 25 hours of work a week.
 



Qualifications
Minimum/Required Qualifications (include education, experience, skills & abilities, licenses & certifications):

  • Must have a valid Tennessee Driver’s license.
  • Must have a high school diploma, preference will be given to those with a degree related to youth development.
  • Clear background check will be required.
Preferred/Desired Qualifications:

  • Experience working with youth in and out of class room settings preferred.
  • Experiences related to working with youth age 9 to 19 preferred.
