Eastern Connecticut State University seeks two qualified candidates to fill a part time University Assistant positions in Information Technology Services.

Title: IT Technical Support University Assistant

General Description: Working under the supervision of the Director of IT Support Services, , the University Assistant provides technical support for IT operations throughout the campus. This position provides general support for desktop computing, network printing, helpdesk functions, media services, and academic computing.

Additionally, the University Assistant may be required to assist in general office functions and customer service to the campus community.

General Requirements: Working knowledge of Microsoft products such as Office 365, Windows 10, System Center, hardware troubleshooting skills, Apple and related applications, and strong communication skills.

Tasks and Responsibilities:

  • General understanding of University computers and Helpdesk Customer Support functions.
  • Assist support staff in desktop troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance of campus owned hardware.
  • Assist Media Services in supporting special event setup, and classroom technology.
  • Provide general support for campus wide printing services.
  • Provide assistance and customer service on administrative matters.
