Description
Temple University is seeking a Database and Applications Architect to support Microsoft Dynamics CRM Databases and Ellucian Banner ERP/Oracle Databases.  The position will maintain the database performance by identifying and resolving production and application development problems, calculate optimum values for parameters, evaluate, integrate and install new releases.  The Database and Applications Architect should be self-motivated and have an understanding of ERP/CRM systems. Knowledge of Ellucian products a plus. SQL server and Oracle administration is preferred. Performs other duties as assigned.

Required Education & Experience:
Bachelor’s degree and at least four (4) years progressive IT experience.
Demonstrated Database Systems, SQL, and Stored Procedure experience. Experience in converting client requirements and functional specifications to technical design. Demonstrated experience in system development, design, and implementation. Experience in interacting with MS CRM database through the use of web service methods. Experience in installation, configuration, customization and extension of Microsoft Dynamics CRM as well as doing the deployment, trouble shooting and production support for the applications developed. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.

Required Skills & Abilities:
* Expertise with Microsoft .Net Framework Technologies.
* Experience in troubleshooting and diagnosing complex applications on Microsoft Dynamics CRM platform with customization of entities, workflows, plug - ins and integrating custom web pages into CRM.
* Hands on knowledge of implementing and maintaining access controls in CRM based on roles and access conditions.
* Exposure in configuring and working with Windows OS, IIS, Outlook with CRM plug-in and SQL server.
* Knowledge of Web Development skills like HTML, XML, XSLT, JavaScript.
* Hands on knowledge of implementing and maintaining access controls and permission in CRM based on roles and access conditions.
* Good knowledge of Microsoft IIS 7.0/8.0.
* Excellent analytical, logical and interpersonal skills. Hard working and fast learner with self-motivated personality.
* Good analytical, communication skills and ability to work independently and perform as part of a team.
* Ability to work nights and/or weekends, if necessary.

Preferred:
* SQL, TSQL, PL/SQL, Perl, Bash, PowerShell
* Experience with Ellucian Banner, CRM Recruit and related third party applications
* Intermediate knowledge using application database schemas, database objects, file system structures, and table and views to create complex joins that are optimized for performance
* Knowledge of distributed version control system.  
* Introduction to automation pipeline processing
* Oracle or SQL server administration
