The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill Adams School of Dentistry invites applications for a full-time faculty member in the Division of Comprehensive Oral Health. This faculty member will have a fixed-term appointment at the Assistant or Associate level. Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, assuring the safe and effective delivery of patient care, providing didactic and clinical education, summative and formative student assessment and leading small group seminars. This position offers outstanding opportunities for intramural practice, scholarly activities, continuing education, professional service and research. Successful applicants should have the ability to establish a robust intramural practice with the UNC Adams School of Dentistry’s Dental Faculty Practice.Educational Requirements:
Candidates must have a Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS/DMD) degree or equivalent and North Carolina dental license or a NC instructor permit.Qualifications and Experience:
Candidates must demonstrate excellent clinical credentials, supervisory, organizational, mentoring, customer service, written and verbal communication skills, substantial clinical experience, exclusive of training, with a strong background in all aspects of general dentistry, especially Prosthodontics. Candidates should have experience in organizational and interpersonal skills, leadership, and a commitment to diversity, inclusive and collegiality.
Preferred Qualifications: Completion of a G.P.R. or A.E.G.D. residency program and have significant experience in educating dental students in clinical dental education outside of a postgraduate training program.Equal Opportunity Employer:
