Position Summary:The Department of Psychiatry at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill School of Medicine is seeking a full-time, 100% FTE, Licensed Clinical Social Worker. This position will provide clinical assessment, treatment planning, and evidence-based behavioral treatments for patients in the Perinatal Psychiatry Program. This position will also serve as a study therapist for a randomized-controlled trial of behavioral activation for perinatal depression. Additionally, this position will support the academic mission of the Perinatal Psychiatry Program by assisting with supervision and training of therapists-in-training and contribute to academic projects (e.g., research studies, case reports, etc.). This position will serve as part of a team of mental health providers, including psychologists and social workers, within the Perinatal Psychiatry Program and contribute to ongoing Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Initiatives within the Program and Department of Psychiatry.
Educational Requirements:Applicant must hold a master’s in Social Work from an accredited school and be a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in the state of North Carolina.
Qualifications and Experience:Applicants must have documented experience with:
1)providing evidence-based behavior therapies (at least 2 years of supervised experience), and
2)women’s mental health treatment, and
3)managing a clinical case load, and
4)the provision of telehealth services (preferably video visits), and
5)supporting Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion initiatives.
The ability to conduct psychotherapy in Spanish is preferred.
