Position Summary:

The Department of Economics at William & Mary, a public university of the Commonwealth of Virginia, invites applications for a one-year, non-tenure track Lecturer of Economics position, with the possibility of extension, that will begin August 10, 2021. The successful applicant will be expected to be an effective instructor with a 3-3 teaching load and to have a Ph.D. by the time the appointment begins. A Masters degree in Economics or a related field is required. The Department of Economics values demonstrated excellence in undergraduate teaching in a highly selective liberal arts environment. We seek an individual who is prepared to teach rigorous courses—primarily principles of economics, microeconomic and/or macroeconomic theory, statistics and/or econometrics, and classes in fields of their specialization. We particularly value candidates with experience teaching a wide range of different courses.

Required Qualifications:

A Masters degree in Economics or a related field is required.

Preferred Qualifications:

Ph.D. in Economics is preferred at the time the candidate begins appointment, August 10, 2021.
