Buena Vista University, Storm Lake, IA, is  accepting applications for the position of Vice President for University Development & Alumni Engagement (VPUDAE). Reporting to the new President, Dr. Brian Lenzmeier, the Vice President provides vision, strategic direction, and executive management of all development operations. The successful candidate will secure external support for Buena Vista University through campaigns, annual giving, major gifts, planned giving, and other programs and is tasked with inspiring staff and leading in a manner consistent with institutional goals and objectives. The VPUDAE builds relationships with a broad range of constituents including current and prospective benefactors, alumni, parents, businesses, and community leaders.

 

A Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of ten years of progressively responsible professional advancement experience is required. An advanced degree and higher education experience is desirable. The new VPUDAE should have an understanding of academic culture combined with a deep appreciation for the power and value of Buena Vista University’s mission, along with a willingness to support the University’s mission and strategic plan.
