 The University of Tennessee Foundation is seeking an Advancement Services Coordinator.  This individual is responsible for the daily processing and accuracy of incoming gifts and pledges as well as the Ruffalo Noel Levitz telefund operation that includes demo/bio changes, donor inquiries and mail control requests inquiries.   This position reports to the Senior Director of Advancement Services and Annual Giving and will handle assigned special projects regarding records management, working with deans and program administrators on campus to develop messaging to highlight and inspire philanthropic action, work with vendors to secure cost quotes and contracts,  communicate with donors on a regular basis, and will work as a liaison with the UT Foundation (UTFI) Central Services’ Advancement Services team and the UT Treasurer’s offices in Knoxville, Tennessee.   As a liaison to UTFI, this position will handle daily, weekly, and monthly routine reports from the IRIS and the ANDI databases to assist in decision-making and event planning, monitor the activity of gift funds, and ensure that endowed gifts meet donor wishes.

Located in Memphis, Tennessee, University of Tennessee Health Science Center serves thousands of patients across Tennessee every day, with nearly 3,000 students enrolled at major campuses in Memphis, Knoxville, Chattanooga and Nashville, plus 1,200 medical resident and fellows in training. The UT Foundation Advancement manages all alumni, development, and philanthropic endeavors of the University of Tennessee and its Health Science Center campus in support of academics, research, clinical care and public service.

At the University of Tennessee Health Science Center, the Foundation provides engagement opportunities for alumni and raises funds used to help provide the best possible laboratory and classroom environments for nearly 3,000 students and over 1,300 specialty residents.

 



Qualifications
Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree required in the field of business, accounting or other financial discipline. A minimum of 5 years of experience in gift records entry or similar financial functions requiring data entry and a high level of input accuracy. 2 years of experience in annual giving production is preferred. The ideal candidate will be highly supportive of and committed to diversity, equity, and inclusion.

Skills: Excellent oral and written communication skills as well as proficiency in MS Office suite applications, specifically Word and Excel. This position requires a high level of professionalism.   Experience using database reporting tools or use of ad hoc reports is required for this position.  Knowledge of IRS regulations for charitable giving and CASE reporting standards is preferred. Experience using IRIS (SAP) or ANDI (Ellucian Advance) is also preferred.
