The Department of RSMAS - CSTARS has an exciting opportunity for a full time Post-Doctoral Associate.

This position located at the Center for Southeastern Tropical Advanced Remote Sensing (CSTARS) at the Richmond Campus in Miami, FL.


Job Summary
The Post-Doctoral associate will support CSTARS in its project objectives by developing and applying change detection tools for permanent scatterer analysis and point cloud techniques using synthetic aperture radar (SAR) data. The incumbent in this position will research and apply ACD and CCD techniques to determine GMTI detections. The Post-Doctoral Associate will also apply advanced techniques to determine the intelligence and geospatial information contained in radar data and create customized radar methodologies and products to address a variety of geospatial intelligence problems. The Post-Doctoral Associate will be expected to have a full knowledge and demonstrated research experience with satellite imagery especially synthetic aperture radar (SAR) data, present results at scientific meetings and publish results in appropriate peer-reviewed literature.


Due to the nature of our work and existing contractual requirements, qualified candidates must be a U.S. citizen and be able to obtain and maintain a DoD security clearance.

Minimum Qualifications:


• Doctoral degree in Engineering or Computer Science, or Physics, Math or related discipline.
