Position Summary:
Essential Duties/Responsibilities:

Prepares courses/classes and teaches clients in customized language programs;

Works in cooperation with the Academic Coordinator of Custom Language Services in setting up a customized program for each client;

Prepares syllabus for course;

Communicates closely with other instructors in program, attending pre-program meeting as set by the language coordinator;

Keeps track of hours using Banner Web software

Adjusts content of program as needed, in collaboration with other instructors and Academic Coordinator.

Actual number of hours worked are contingent on program requests.

Excellent teaching skills
Willingness and ability to comply with Institute policies, including safe work practices and procedure

Education/Experience

Master's degree in language teaching or equivalent with experience in custom or intensive language teaching preferred

Prior experience with business professionals preferred

Physical Requirements/Environment

The MiddleburyInstitute of International Studies at Monterey maintains a smoke-free/drug-free workplace

Pay range: DOE, # of students in class, and completed MA in language teaching

This position will be filled on an as-needed basis, and is non-benefits eligible and temporary. Applicants must be able to teach at Monterey campus for duration of the custom program.
