Position Title: Assistant Professor, Tenure Track

Department: Communication Sciences & Disorders

Type of Position:  Full Time

Fall 2021, full time tenure track position, Department of Communication Sciences and Disorders ~ Position is subject to budget availability and funding.

Job Summary:  The applicant will teach undergraduate and graduate classes, and will supervise graduate clinicians at the ESU Speech and Hearing Center. The applicant will serve as the clinic director of the ESU Speech and Hearing Center.  The applicant must understand accreditation and KASA standards and teach to those standards as indicated in course syllabi, including clinic supervision requirements. Additional responsibilities will include undergraduate academic advising, acceptance of departmental assignments, participation in graduate program candidate review, university service, and research in the applicant’s areas of expertise. Preference will be given to individuals with research and clinical experience with speech sound disorders and AAC

Required Qualifications: Ph.D. or Ed.D. in Communication  Sciences and Disorders; ABD candidates or masters level candidates with extensive supervisory experience will be considered; experience in supervision and/or college teaching preferred; Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association;  Pennsylvania Professional License in Speech-Language Pathology; pass criminal record checks and TB testing; professional liability insurance; ASHA required supervisory training.
