Description:

The Department of Periodontics at the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine is seeking a full-time Assistant Professor in the Academic Clinician track. The Department is looking to fill the position with a start date of July 1, 2021. Review of applications will begin immediately and continue until the position is filled.

Qualifications:

This full-time position at the Assistant Professor level in the Academic Clinician track (non-tenure accruing) calls for a person who, through excellence in administration, teaching, and clinical practice in periodontics, is able to build and maintain the department's reputation nationally and internationally through leadership and direction of department activities. These activities include teaching in predoctoral/postdoctoral education programs, administration and management in the department, as well as service to the dental school and professional organizations. Eligible candidates must have completed a CODA-accredited advanced education program in Periodontics, completed American Board of Periodontology Certification, have a DDS or DMD degree, and eligible to obtain a Pennsylvania dental license prior to the beginning of their employment. The candidate should have experience in teaching, as well as administration, and a record of clinical research in periodontics.
