Temporary Faculty for the Department of Anthropology

Lecturer in Asian American Studies

The successful applicant may teach Asian American Studies and Anthropology, as well as high enrollment general education courses.

We are interested in candidates who are qualified to teach:

• ASAM 15 (Introduction to Asian Americans),
• ASAM 110 (Asian American Communities),
• ASAM 140 (Hmong, Laotian and Cambodian American Experience),
• ASAM 151W (Asian Eats), and
• possibly a new course focused on Hmong Americans.

Updated for position:

• Primary instruction will be on-campus once Fresno State repopulates according to CDC guidelines.
• Appointees will be required to demonstrate eligibility to work in the United States.

Qualifications:

Required

Education (from an accredited institution or foreign equivalent.): A Master's degree in Ethnic Studies or related field, with an emphasis in Asian American Studies.

Experience: A commitment to work effectively with faculty, staff, and students from diverse ethnic, cultural, and socioeconomic backgrounds.

Preferred

Experience: A commitment to teaching excellence at the undergraduate level, which may be exhibited through prior teaching experiences and teaching evaluations or other evidence.
