A person allocated to this position coordinates all services for all facilities at the State Botanical Garden of Georgia. Job duties include building maintenance review, coordination of scheduled maintenance/repairs, organization of events, space assignments, etc. This position also serves as the coordinator of garden public events, including concerts, membership events and public programs.Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and/or Competencies:
-Experience working with special events.
-Basic knowledge of UGA building operations and support.
-Working knowledge of audio/visual and projection systems.
-Basic computer skills.
-Familiarity with social media

Supervision and management of rental facilities to include operating safety, cleanliness, preparedness for use by general public & rental clients. Maintain audio/visual equipment, rental equipment inventory, equipment upkeep & organize storage for ease of access. Coordinate with Facilities Management Division and third party service providers for necessary repairs and maintenance of facilities.Percentage of time:
Coordinate planning of garden special events including Sunflower Music series, friends events, volunteer appreciation, holiday events, concerts, etc. Schedule student workers as needed. Incumbent will oversee logistics related to event execution including venue set-up, catering needs, presentation setups and event promotion.Percentage of time:
Provide facility tours and disperse accurate information to prospective rental clients.Percentage of time:
Hire, train and supervise part-time/student staff.Percentage of time:
Schedule routine maintenance on van, truck, and golf carts. Keep vehicles clean and in good repair.Percentage of time:
