Position Summary:

The Postdoctoral Associate AD will investigate the role of DNA damage and repair in mutagenesis and carcinogenesis caused by environmental carcinogens. The Postdoctoral Associate AD will design, organize and conduct highly specialized and advanced experiments using established scientific protocols and procedures and in some cases designing new protocols. This position will also summarize findings, publish results in research journals and assume general responsibility for scientific operations of the laboratory including providing supervision and guidance to junior technicians, students, and researchers.

Relevant/Preferred Education, Experience, Licensure, Certification in Position:

PhD in bioinformatics or related field of study in biological science. Strong background in one or more of the following areas: bioinformatics, molecular/cellular biology, epigenetics, DNA repair and related fields. A strong background in bioinformatics and experience with Next Generation Sequencing data analysis is preferred.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and/or Competencies :

Knowledge of high throughput genomic approaches (RNA-seq, ChIP-seq, Hi-C) and data analysis. Work independently and with others and to supervise and mentor other lab members. Good written and oral communication skills.
