  • Position Description:

    TheDepartment of Medicine of the University of Toledo College of Medicine and LifeSciences (COMLS) is seeking an energetic, outstanding physician to become Chiefof the Division of Hematology and Oncology and Medical Director of the EleanorN. Dana Cancer Center (DCC) in Toledo, Ohio.

    Thisposition offers a unique opportunity to build upon the recent academicaffiliation of the University of Toledo COMLS with a large vibrant communityhospital that has expanded our opportunities for our H/O fellows, residents andstudents; to increase the number and expertise of the full-time faculty; and toenhance our growing Phase I/II Precision Therapy Cancer Clinical Trials at theDCC.

    Inaddition to guiding and working with the H/O Division combined academic andclinical faculty, it is expected that the Division Chief will be responsiblefor recruiting additional academic faculty to expand upon the expertise here atthe COMLS.  As Medical Director of theEleanor N. Dana Cancer Center, the new Director will support, engage, and guidethe University of Toledo Medical Center (UTMC) multidisciplinary cancer team, andwork with the DCC and UTMC Administration to further the development of theprogram to become the Premier Cancer Center Program in Northwest Ohio.

    Qualifications:

    Thesuccessful candidate will be required to have MD or equivalent, currentlicensure in the State of Ohio, Board Certified in Hematology/Medical Oncology,have at least 5 years of clinical experience, have experience in clinicaltrials in hematology/oncology, and a demonstrated talent in administration.

    Working Conditions:This position works in a professional clinical and academic office setting.
