Job Description

The Department of Recruitment and College Connections works with all interested parties, particularly prospective and incoming students, seeking enrollment information and assistance with the onboarding process at the College of Southern Nevada (CSN). Services include but are not limited to; providing campus tours, informational workshops, and comprehensive enrollment services. The Department of Recruitment and College Connections seeks an exceptional individual to join our team as Recruiter/Success Coach with the purpose of promoting CSN's visibility and attracting students. The ideal candidate in this role should have a positive attitude and an active, energetic mind that is characterized by highly ethical practices and a commitment to diversity, openness, flexibility, integrity, kindness, professionalism and teamwork. This position recruits new students for the College of Southern Nevada's (CSN) degree and certificate programs to meet enrollment goals. Primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:
  • Represent the College to prospective students and the public with the highest degree of professionalism through an array of outreach programs and activities.
  • Plan and implement recruitment and enrollment events and programs.
  • Travel to engage and counsel prospective students and family members about enrollment criteria and other critical factors regarding the educational decision process.
  • Develop positive educational partnerships and working relationships with K-12 system schools and community partners.
  • Effective follow through on communication plans by initiating and answering correspondence and inquiries from prospective students and their families.
  • Participate in campus visitation programs, prospective informational sessions, new student orientations, and other recruitment/enrollment events, as necessary.

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university and 1 year of experience in recruitment or admissions at the college/university level OR an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Collaboration. Ability to work well as part of a team and communicate effectively with a variety of community college constituents - includes demonstrated utilization of time management and problem-solving skills in a fast-paced work environment.
  • Admissions/Enrollment Cycle. Evidenced knowledge of annual admissions funnel steps to include recruitment and enrollment yield & conversion rates, and other related /similar Strategic Plans and program metrics.
  • Technology. CRM (Campus Management preferred), Student Information Systems, Microsoft Office and social networks use proficiency.
  • Communication. Evidenced/Demonstrated excellent professional written, oral/public speaking, and other interpersonal skills meeting needs of diverse audiences.
  • Flexibility. Demonstrated ability to provide direct high-quality, professional, organized, client service and college enrollment support to diverse audiences - including caseloads of K-12 and non-traditional prospective students, families, and diverse communities.

Starting Salary Range

Administrative Faculty Grade B

$38,549 - $41,247
