The Division of Continuing Education and Workforce Development invites applicants to teach non-credit Real Estate Salesperson Licensing courses to adult learners. (multi-day in the morning, evening and/ or Saturday) The Real Estate Salesperson Licensing course is designed for students to complete required courses and to prepare for the NJ Real Estate Licensing exam. The instructor is responsible for teaching state regulated real estate pre-licensing courses. S/he will develop course materials for the assigned course, coordinate course details with Program Supervisor, and follow-up with necessary paperwork.

Characteristics, Duties, and Responsibilities:

  • Teach material from approved curriculum
  • Develop course syllabus, contents, and materials
  • Provide quality and technically relevant instruction and assessment in a lecture format while incorporating the ability to interact and respond to students effectively
  • Deliver online classes
  • Maintain daily attendance
  • Monitor students’ performance to make suggestions for improvement and to ensure that they satisfy course standards and training requirements
  • Motivate students to actively participate in all aspects of the educational process
  • Prepare and guide students for the NJ State Licensing Exam
  • Assist with course/program evaluation
  • Available to teach day, evening and/or weekend classes

Qualifications:

Education and Experience Requirements:

  • The instructor must be a broker and pass a State of NJ Real Estate Instructor License Exam
  • Bachelor’s degree, continuously licensed as a NJ real estate broker for two years, or continuously licensed as a broker in another state for three years
  • In-depth knowledge of national and New Jersey state real estate principles, practices, and license requirement
  • 2+ years of instructional experience in teaching in a similar field
