The Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering (CEE) at Princeton University invites applications for a postdoctoral research associate or more senior research position. The position involves working on multiple research projects in the areas of mechanics, bio-inspired and novel designs of architectured materials, and additive and automated manufacturing processes. The goal is to develop an understanding of novel designs of civil engineering materials with enhanced performance characteristics for infrastructure and energy applications. The research will be conducted under the direction of Professor Reza Moini. This is a one-year appointment with possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance and continued funding. Candidates must have a recent Ph.D. in a relevant field including material science, civil, or mechanical engineering. Individuals with experience in fracture and damage mechanics, brittle materials, advanced and automated robotic manufacturing, materials processing, materials modeling, and strong commitment to interdisciplinary research are encouraged to apply.
