•Responsible for leading the technical development for the Graduate School’s Slate instance including designing, reviewing, analyzing, and modifying systems to support the University's graduate and graduate professional development admissions and recruitment activities.
•Gathers requirements from users, creates specifications, and develops and writes code and Slate configuration to support the graduate recruitment and application system
•Encodes, tests, debugs, and installs functionality into Slate
•Develops standards and guidelines, monitors traffic, and analyzes usage
•Identifies current and future needs to ensure Slate supports the mission of the Graduate School
•May be responsible for the design, organization, functionality, accessibility, navigation, and overall usability of a unit's website in relation to graduate recruitment and admissions
•Other responsibilities related to I.T. systems in the Graduate School as assigned by the Associate DeanQualifications Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, MIS, or other appropriate degree and two years of experience, or a high school diploma or equivalent and six years of related experience.
(Note: post-high school education may substitute for experience at the equivalent rate.)

Demonstrated leadership skills in planning and implementing software development efforts.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills as well as demonstrated ability to effectively communicate with functional and technical positions.
Demonstrated problem-solving and project management skills; ability to work independently and as a part of a team; and the ability to analyze data and make decisions relating to the translation within our admissions system from a functional need to a technical solution.
Knowledge of web-based admissions and marketing systems.
Knowledge of standard programming languages, concepts, practices, and procedures within the technology field is required.Preferred Knowledge of the Slate admissions and recruitment system, or similar program.Anticipated Salary Range Anticipated starting salary at $50,000Pay Plan This is an A&P (Administrative and Professional) position.Schedule If not otherwise specified, schedule is M-F, 8-5.Criminal Background Check This position requires successful completion of a criminal history background check.
