Advertised Job Summary:The Office of General Counsel at the University of South Carolina is seeking a motivated individual to join their team as Administrative Coordinator I. The Administrative Coordinator is vital to the operational success of the office serving as the face of the office and first point of contact for internal UofSC employees along with external agencies and the general public. This position is responsible for managing the daily operations of the office including managing calendars and travel, greeting visitors and University officials, screening phone calls and providing assistance, along with preparing official correspondence. In addition, this position will organize and conduct complex administrative duties and special projects for the Associate General Counsel. The Administrative Coordinator is responsible for university-wide contract management functions including tracking and archiving of all University contracts and custodial file management. This position will assist with gathering and compiling information for university-wide Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) requests.
Minimum Qualifications (Classified and Unclassified positions):Bachelor’s degree and 2 years related experience in business management, public administration, or administrative services; or equivalency.
Preferred Qualifications:Familiarity with USC policies, procedures and systems is preferred
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:Must have excellent interpersonal and secretarial skills. Proficient with Microsoft Word and Excel. Skilled at handling confidential and/or sensitive information. Self-motivated
