Required Qualifications:

High School Diploma or GED plus experience in low voltage equipment such as phone systems, key card access controls and fire alarm systems. Must have the ability to diagnose and repair various systems. Also, candidate must be able to assist outside vendors in elevator and fire alarm inspections. Must be able to work on ladders and assist in maintenance of the building.

Must be able to demonstrate the Morton College core values of compassion, fairness, respect, responsibility, tolerance and truth.

Preferred Qualifications:

Associate’s degree or college coursework related to the maintenance field and 5 years’ experience with diagnosing and repairing different communication systems.

Job Summary:

To provide Morton College with dependable phone, fax, key card access service. To participate in various system safety inspections and diagnose program, and repair low voltage systems. To replace lightbulbs and ballasts throughout campus. To perform other duties as assigned by the Director of Campus Operations and Facilities.

Specific Job Duties:

•Programing and troubleshoot voice mail phone system.
•Maintain key card access doors including changing lock systems
•Participate and follow up with fire alarm inspections and repair
•Participate and follow up with elevator inspections and repair
•Replace lightbulbs and ballasts
•To perform other duties as assigned by the Director of Campus Operations and Facilities
