Position Summary:

The William & Mary Business School Foundation (Foundation) supports the Raymond A Mason School of Business at William & Mary (School) through solicitation and receiving gifts on behalf of the School.

The Foundation Financial & Operations Analyst reports to the Chief Executive Officer of the W&M Business School Foundation. The Director has responsibility for management and oversight of Foundation systems and business processes (excluding financial processes), designing and overseeing systems for data entry and gift processing. This also includes the recording, reconciling, and auditing of donor-related transactions of the Foundation. This position is also responsible for supporting the Foundation’s Controller in assigned accounting tasks related to the Foundation and to the Mason School. The Foundation’s Controller will direct and evaluate the performance of this position for accounting related tasks.

Required Qualifications:

•Bachelor’s degree in accounting or business management or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
•Advanced working knowledge and technical skills in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, Access and Outlook.
•The incumbent must be mathematically accurate, proficient, organized, work independently and work well under pressure.
•Have the ability to adhere to established guidelines and deadlines.

Preferred Qualifications:

•Master’s degree, preferably an MBA
•Experience in higher education
•Experience in nonprofit fund accounting
•Working knowledge of Blackbaud’s Financial Edge and Raiser’s Edge, Crystal Reports and Banner software
•Working knowledge of Vendor and Employment Contracts

Advertised Pay Range:

Up to $79,142 commensurate with experience

Additional hours may be required to include, but are not limited to, the audit of the financials and the preparation of tax forms.

This is a restricted position subject to availability of funding.
