The Valenzuela Laboratory in UCLA's Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine seeks a highly motivated, enthusiastic post-doctoral fellow interested in cellular immunology, vascular biology and/or transplantation. Research projects center around the diversity of vascular inflammatory responses, and how endothelial cells shape the adaptive immune response in vascular diseases.

Successful candidates will have obtained or will soon be eligible to obtain their PhD or MD/PhD in immunology, or vascular biology. Applicants should have prior research experience working with leukocytes and/or endothelial cells, as well as murine models. The fellow should bring technical expertise in mammalian cell culture, flow cytometry, molecular biology, immunoblotting, cell isolation, ELISA, and transcriptome or epigenetic studies. Experience breeding and maintaining mouse colonies is a plus. Candidates should also demonstrate excellent written and oral communication skills, with peer reviewed publications in the field(s) of immunology, vascular biology and/or transplantation biology.
