Campus President (Dale Mabry)
Under the direction of the College President, the Campus President ensures advancement of the College’s strategic plan, mission, vision and values and is responsible for the academic quality, operational effectiveness, growth of a campus, sound economic principles and fostering collaboration with students, faculty, staff and external community members with a focus on best practices and continuous improvement. Serves as the campus Chief Executive Officer with responsibility for leading the overall administrative and educational functions of the campus in an environment which is conducive to innovation in learning and supporting student success.
Prefer applicants with: (1) an awarded doctoral degree, (2) evidence of a willingness to be visible on campus and in the community, and to play an active role in college and community activities, (3) demonstration of strategic planning and implementation skills, to include familiarity with the accreditation process, (4) a participatory style of leadership with a willingness to engage multiple constituencies in decision-making, place the college and students first, and make difficult decisions, (5) an acute awareness of the current issues facing a regional, public community college in contemporary society; serve as a thoughtful leader on issues facing higher education, (6) superior management and leadership skills with tangible evidence of leading change within diverse, dynamic and increasingly complex environments, (7) evidence of highly motivated leadership and effective motivation of others, (8) experience with and knowledge of budgets and budget oversight, including collaboratively setting budget priorities, (9) ability to work effectively with faculty and staff, (10) ability to work in a dynamic environment that requires the incumbent to be sensitive to change and responsive to changing goals, priorities, and needs, (11) strong collaboration skills, (12) strong analytical, problem solving, organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills, (13) excellent leadership and management skills and attention to detail, with skills in the organization of systems and aptitude for analysis of detailed data and (14) commitment and respect for diversity.
This position requires at least an awarded Master’s degree from a regionally accredited educational institution. Applicants must attach a copy of their transcript at the time of application showing at least the minimum qualifications.
