Job Description Summary
The Gene Therapy Program (GTP) is entering a new era of unprecedented opportunity with the great potential to reshape the face of medicine as we know it. Our discoveries have set the stage for successful treatments and possibly even cures for devastating genetic diseases.

The laboratory of Dr. Jim Wilson, at GTP of the University of Pennsylvania, has been a leader in the development of innovative vector technology for close to three decades. We have emerged as the “go-to” organization for public and private partners, who want to participate in the gene therapy space. Currently, we are positioned to lead another round of vector innovation and establish pre-clinical and clinical proof-of-concept in therapeutic applications of in-vivo genome editing.

Continuation of all GTP positions is contingent upon funding.

Job Description

Due to continued growth of our program, we are searching for a new Recruiter to support high-volume recruiting efforts for research and core functions.

Partnering with Talent Acquisition Leadership and Senior Recruiters, you will source, identify, qualify and deliver candidates for an assigned business units; including varying levels of positions, using a variety of innovative recruiting methods. You will work with hiring managers to clarify job specifications in order to generate top quality candidates and contribute to the development recruitment strategies to support current hiring needs and future growth. You will establish effective relationships across the business and within TA / HR as well as driving innovative recruitment processes and strategies. You will build pipelines of external talent who possess the relevant skills and experience to be potential candidates for future open positions. You will handle candidate activity within the applicant tracking system (ATS), ensuring the highest levels of compliance; and you will engage in direct sourcing / alternate recruiting methods to identify a diverse slate of candidates for your open requisitions.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree and 2 to 3 years of experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience required.
  • You have a working knowledge of Applicant Tracking Systems and talent acquisition technology.
  • You have the experience and self-motivation to run full-cycle recruitment processes for a volume of open requisitions.
  • You are proactive and have excellent time-management skills.
  • You have an ability to learn quickly and are constantly curious, seeking out new ways of working.
  • You have excellent written and verbal communication with the ability to provide detailed, insightful updates to candidates, colleagues, and business partners.
  • You have strong problem solving skills and are able to act independently to resolve ambiguous situation.
  • You enjoy collaborating with others.
