Writing Coach

We are seeking a Writing Coach to work remotely on a part time basis. 

Summary

The Writing Coach provides individualized written feedback and writing coaching to doctoral students. This position will work for approximately 10 hours/week. This is not a faculty position and appointment to this position does not imply any future consideration for a faculty position. Additional hours may be available depending on budget and student demand.

QUALIFICATIONS

Doctoral degree required. Preference will be given to candidates with doctoral degrees from the Fielding Human & Organizational Development or Leadership for Change programs, and those with experience in delivering individualized instruction to adult learners, preferably as an instructor or tutor. 

Knowledge, skills and abilities: 

• Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills. 

• Ability to resolve differences through negotiation, consensus, and problem solving. 

• Demonstrated ability to provide constructive writing feedback via an “inbox" exercise of student writing review and student coaching. 

Demonstrated writing skills via submission of a published journal-article length-writing sample, preferably peer-reviewed. Dissertations will also be screened in the application process. 

• Ability to utilize Learning Management System (Moodle) for management of student writing submissions, appointment scheduling and other instructional purposes.
