  • Position Description:

    The Blackboard Help Desk position will provide front-line technical support to faculty and students for

    Blackboard and other related instructional technologies. The position is for approximately 20 hours per

    week (max 1000 hours per year).



    Experienceusing or supporting a learning management system (Blackboard Learn preferred)in an online or hybrid/blended learning environment
    Excellentproblem solving/troubleshooting skills
    Experiencesupporting Apple OS X, iOS, and Windows devices
    Experienceworking with/supporting Microsoft Office products
    Workingknowledge of Internet applications (browsers, plugins, etc.)
    Ability tohandle multiple tasks and prioritize support requests
    Excellentcommunications skills (verbal and written)
    Passion forlearning with and supporting technology in an educational environment
    Flexibleavailability (weekend, holiday, and/or evening hours)


    Previouscustomer service or technical help desk experience (one year or more)
    Experiencedeveloping end-user support documentation, manuals, videos, and other trainingmaterials
    Experienceusing or supporting lecture capture and audience response systems
