Nature of Work:

The student will assist personnel with clerical tasks and special projects. The supervisor creates the weekly schedule based on the students’ class schedule and the needs of the department. This schedule is subject to change between semesters or as needs arise. The student employee is not to work if their class has an early release or cancelled. The selected applicant may be required to work some late evenings or nights.

Essential Duties:

  • Provide excellent customer service
  • Provide accurate information about testing
  • Follow policies and procedures of testing
  • Schedule appointments
  • Provide students copies of their test result
  • Check and validate identity of everyone
  • Sign in customers for testing
  • General office duties
  • Shredding documents daily
  • Monitor and adhere to all testing guidelines
  • Setup supplies within the testing center
  • Run errands on campus
  • Waning everyone for security purposes
  • Ensure all prohibited or personal items are secured in lockers
  • Retrieving or delivering the mail
  • Distributing and picking up lawn signs
  • Other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications and Training:

College Work Study eligible persons will have received an Award Letter in Coast and will need to upload that letter to the document area when applying to this job. Follow the instructions in the “Special Instructions to Applicant” area to locate your Award Letter. Additional qualifications include

  • Must be enrolled in at least six credit hours
  • Dependable, punctual, organized; friendly
