International Adjunct Faculty In Undergraduate Physical Science (Spanish) - Online
This course will be taught inthe Spanish language. The instructor will teach must be able to providestudents with an introductory understanding of thephysical environment of planet earth. Selected topics include those fromastronomy, geography, geology, oceanography, and meteorology.
Adjunct faculty are professionals with the responsibility of providing a quality learning experience for Indiana Wesleyan University
students. Adjunct faculty report to a program director and perform instruction related duties and responsibilities in a timely manner and in accordance with the mission, policies and procedures of the college. The adjunct faculty member will employ a range of suitable strategies to foster student learning, stimulate class discussions, encourage active learning in all students,
maintain proper class related records,promptly assess student coursework, and apprise students of progress. The adjunct faculty member will be articulate, current within his or her discipline, and demonstrate a passion for teaching and learning.
Preferred: Ph.D. or otherdoctorate with a minimum of 18 graduate semester hours in the discipline of Science– as stated in the Title of the Posting.
Required: A master’s degree withminimum of 18 graduate semester hours in the discipline of Science – as statedin the Title of the Posting.
Required: Be able to speak andteach fluently in the Spanish language
Work Experience: Experienceteaching adult learners using a learning management system is preferred.
•Demonstrated knowledge of online educational delivery tools
•Demonstrated teaching, training, and presenting abilities with adults
•Demonstrated proficiency in personal computing and in using Microsoft products
•Demonstrated knowledge of adults as unique learners
