Wabash College invites applications for a Scenic Designer. Areas of expertise should include scenic design, scenic painting, and computer drafting. Other areas of expertise, such as lighting or projection design, are welcome. Responsibilities include: designing scenery for three mainstage productions each academic year, supporting the production work of the Department of Theater, mentoring and supervising students in the work of scenic design, and teaching no more than two (2) courses per year in scenic design and related areas. The initial appointment includes the title “Associated Faculty” at the rank of Assistant Professor. Applicants must have an eagerness to collaborate with members of a small, dedicated department; an appreciation for the broad intellectual community of a liberal arts college; and a commitment to excellence in undergraduate mentoring and teaching.

Qualifications

An MFA with a focus in Scenic Design is required. Previous college-level teaching experience is highly desirable.
