JOB SUMMARY:

Master's level counselor, generalist with generalist clinical skills. Emphasis of the position is on case management duties and services delivery to survivors of sexual assault (CU-CARES). Adheres to practitioner-scholar model with multicultural competency. Other duties as assigned.

JOB DUTIES:

50% - Essential - Direct Services--Clinical.
Provides case management services to survivors of sexual assault and trauma to ensure access to medical and mental health resources. Provides on-site and telemental health clinical services to clients in individual, couples, group/workshop, and online formats with emphasis to survivors of sexual assault and trauma(CU-CARES). Makes recommendation for treatment modality and generates/implements treatment plans from evidence-based approaches. Utilizes assessment instruments as indicated by the presenting problem. Allocates 22-25 clinical hours/week.

20% - Essential - Administrative Duties: Documentation and Case Conference meetings.
Completes all clinical documentation in the electronic health record in compliance with the documentation time lines. Completes all necessary documentation to assist clients and as required by CAPS. Attends all CU CARES Consultation Team meetings.

15% - Essential - Direct Services--Crisis intervention, consultation/outreach and supervision.
Provides crisis intervention and emergency services on-site and through on-call system. Periodic on-call and after-hour duties. Collaborates with campus offices providing services to survivors of sexual assault--Title IX, OCES, OAS. Conducts outreach to disseminate information about wellness, psychological issues and their treatment with emphasis on sexual assault prevention and services. Provides supervision, as requested, and supports professional developmental needs of all trainees.

10% - Essential - Administrative Duties: Program, Research and Training.
Assists the Coordinator for CU CARES with data gathering and case management tasks for program. Assists with program development, implementation and evaluation. Attends Training Seminars. Conducts in-service training for CAPS staff and trainees. Completes all Redfern Health Center mandatory training. Submits annual report.

5% - Essential - Professional Development:
Participates in internal CAPS and Student Health Services (SHS) committees as well as committees within Student Affairs and the University. Maintains independent license to practice in the State of South Carolina. Participates in professional conferences and conventions at the local, regional and national levels. At all times, adheres to American Psychological Association's (APA) Ethical Principles of Psychologists Code of Conduct and American Counseling Association's Code of Ethics. Adheres to Joint Commission accreditation standards and supports maintenance of APA accreditation.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

Education - Master's Degree
Experience - 3+ years
Licenses - Eligible for independent license in the State of South Carolina

PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS:

Experience - Treatment of sexual assault and trauma. Working knowledge of Title IX regulations.
Certifications - Trauma treatment certification
