The Department of Social Work at Western Carolina University invites application for a 9-month tenure track Social Work faculty position with employment beginning in August 2021. Two positions are available.
Rank will be either at the Assistant or Associate level and will be determined at point of hire. Review of applications will begin immediately and will continue until a candidate has been selected for hire.
Qualifications include a MSW and a doctorate in Social Work or a related field completed on or before August 31, 2021. Candidates should demonstrate a well-developed research agenda and a commitment to scholarship, teaching, and service. Duties include teaching graduate and undergraduate Social Work courses, conducting research, publishing and presenting in professional venues, seeking extramural funding, advising students, and engaging in social work practice.Carnegie statement:
