Job Purpose:
The University of Scranton's Department of Health Administration & Human Resources has an ongoing need for highly qualified adjunct faculty to staff a variety of courses each semester in the field of Health Administration and Human Resources. Adjunct faculty may instruct one or more courses each semester as needed.

The successful applicant for the Health Administration adjunct faculty position must be available to teach both on campus and online.


Essential Duties:
Adjunct/affiliate faculty are expected to teach a specified course or courses course(s); prepare course materials; provide support and guidance to students; and report grades. Attendance at monthly faculty department meetings is required.

Additional Skills Required:


Minimum Education Requirements:
- Required qualifications to teach Health Administration course work include a Master’s Degree in MHA, MPH, MBA, MS or related majors - Required qualifications to teach Human Resource course work include a Master’s Degree in MS, MBA, MSOL or related majors inclusive of PHR/SPHR/GPHR/CEBS certification

Preferred Education:
- Preference will be given to candidates who have an ABD or PhD in Health Administration and/or Human Resources

Minimum Job Experience Requirements:


Preferred Qualifications:
- Demonstrated in-class and on-line teaching experience, work related experiences in HADM and HR respectively and a willingness to be flexible in class scheduling - Ability to teach undergraduate and graduate courses - Ability to teach foundational undergraduate and graduate courses

This pooled position will serve as an electronic file and replace receiving paper CVs. As openings occur, we will draw candidates from this pool until May 2021.
