Counseling and Human Services

Job Purpose:
This position is for a Counselor Educator and Program Director with primary responsibilities in the CACREP accredited School Counseling Program. The department aims to recruit applicants from diverse backgrounds with a commitment to excellence in teaching, research, service, and dedication to students' professional development.

Essential Duties:
- Teach core courses in appraisal, social and cultural counseling, and the supervision of counselors in training in practicum and internship. - Scholarship - Service - Student Advising/Mentoring - Other responsibilities as outlined in the faculty contract and handbook

Additional Skills Required:

Minimum Education Requirements:
An earned doctorate in Counselor Education from a CACREP-accredited program. ABD with completion by June, 2021 will be considered.

Preferred Education:

Minimum Job Experience Requirements:
Possession of, or eligibility for, additional credentials (e.g., NCC, LPC, ACS)

Preferred Qualifications:
A background in program assessment and evaluation as well as interest in teaching clinical courses are desirable. Ideal applicants will also have leadership experience and a proven track record of work with school counseling initiatives
