The Department of Urology seeks a Senior Clinical Research Coordinator, Non-Licensed. The Senior Clinical Research Coordinator will plan, organize, lead, and perform comprehensive advanced level clinical trial duties for multiple or complex clinical trials, focusing on the overall productivity and success of the clinical trials. The incumbent will function under the Principal Investigator's medical license and cannot perform any tasks that by state or local law require a license to perform. The Senior Clinical Research Coordinator will work independently and have the authority to adapt methods and procedures to meet the needs of the clinical trial. The incumbent will influence the long term goals of clinical research trial and process. The Clinical Research Coordinator will often manage support teams. The impact of their decisions is wide in scope affecting both internal and external partners.
Coordinate multiple clinical trials simultaneously, and manage multiple Principal Investigator relationships, including establishing and managing multiple budgets, ensuring full compliance with local, state and federal policies and procedures.
Serve as the liaison with the sponsor for assigned studies.
Assist Principal Investigator in developing clinical trial protocols and submit the required documentation to the Institutional Review Board, the University, and the company or government sponsors. Submit study protocols and amendments, consent forms, and recruiting materials to the IRB and department for approval within established guidelines.
Conduct strategic planning and analysis of research portfolios, in conjunction with department management and Principal Investigators.
Conduct research data analysis and literature searches. Author scientific papers and articles publication and presentation.
Oversee financial accounting of multiple clinical research projects, including budget development, billing reconciliation, and quality review; oversee quarterly review of all Principal Investigator accounts.
Develop administrative and financial recommendations for department management and Principal Investigators for research portfolio review.
Compile data and documents during internal and external audits and is ultimately responsible for quality of submissions.
May manage a team of Clinical Research Coordinators type and/or laboratory and support staff, with responsibilities including hiring, scheduling, workload, compensation, rewards, development, and performance management.
Perform all duties of the Clinical Research Coordinator, Intermediate, Non-Licensed.
In addition to the above job responsibilities, other duties may be assigned.
Bachelor's degree with at least six years of clinical research experience is required. Related Master's degree may substitute for three years of experience.
Licensure: Clinical Research Coordinator (CCRC) and/or Clinical Research Associate (CCRA)required. Master's degree in related field with related work experience may substitute at the time of hire, with certification required within one year of certification eligibility.
**Must be able to attend clinic and meet in-person with subjects and physicians**
This is primarily a sedentary job involving extensive use of desktop computers. The job does occasionally require walking some distance to attend meetings, and programs.
This position will remain open until filled. This is an Exempt level, benefited position. This is a restricted position contingent upon the continuation of funding.
