Job Summary
Columbus State University has an opening for a Utility Custodian I in the Department of University Support Services. This position will support the Department of Custodial Services on CSU's RiverPark Campus.

Responsibilities
Responsibilities include but are not limited to: walking assigned areas of campus to collect and remove trash from common areas and off campus locations; assisting in special projects, such as, stripping, waxing, and cleaning floors; using power equipment to clean buildings; collecting recyclable materials from campus buildings; reading work orders and following instruction; assisting in emergency preparations, such as, clearing debris, snow, and ice, from sidewalks and driveways; be a brand ambassador of Campus Services and Columbus State University; and all other related duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications
Minimum qualifications include a high school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience. The selected candidate should possess the ability to understand specific tasks/processes and ensure completion to the standards of University Support Services; possess a knowledge of stripping and cleaning floors; possess the ability to follow specific oral and written instructions; possess the ability to deal tactfully and courteously with officials and others contacted during the course of work; possess the ability to work outside in a variety of weather conditions; and possess a valid driver's license with a clean driving history.

The selected candidate must be able to lift 50 pounds or more.

Proposed Salary
The hourly salary for this position is $11.07 per hour and includes full benefits.
