15-Jan-2021 Close All Job SummaryThe Department of Spanish and Portuguese seeks to hire a full-time instructor of Spanish with a 4-4 teaching load, teaching beginning to advanced courses in our program. For purposes of annual merit evaluation, instructors are assessed at 85% teaching and 15% service obligations. The successful candidate will receive a 3-year appointment and will undergo a reappointment review in order to be considered for a subsequent 3-year appointment. Expected start for Fall 2021, pending final A&S approval.

The salary range for this position is $52,000-$54,000.

Be Boulder.What We RequireA PhD in Spanish or Applied Linguistics with a specialization in Spanish and native or near-native proficiency in Spanish and English. The candidate will have at least two years of experience teaching beginning to advanced Spanish language courses at the post-secondary level. This includes teaching experience that was obtained while the candidate was a graduate student.What We Would Like You To HaveThe ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate excellence in teaching, have some experience in language course coordination, and have some experience teaching in the areas of Spanish for the Professions and/or Advanced Composition.Special InstructionsTo apply, please submit the following materials:
