Overview
The Princeton Plasma Physics Laboratory is a world-class fusion energy research laboratory managed by Princeton University for the U.S. Department of Energy’s Office of Science. PPPL is dedicated to developing the scientific and technological knowledge base for fusion energy. The Laboratory advances the fields of fusion energy and plasma physics research to develop the scientific understanding and key innovations needed to realize fusion as an energy source for the world.
Responsibilities
- Develop multi-fluid global simulation code for modeling planets and exoplanets and apply them for space weather studies.
- Establish scientific linkages to associated theoretical and experimental research at PPPL
- Publish and present research in peer reviewed journals and at professional conferences.
- Lead and collaborate in developing grant applications.
Qualifications
Education and Experience:
- PhD in plasma physics, space science, or related field is required.
- Experience with scientific programming in a high-performance computing environment.
- Experience with global MHD and/or multi-fluid simulation codes is preferred.
