The College of Business Administration (COBA) at Texas A&M University-Central Texas (A&M-Central Texas) invites applications for a 9-month tenure-track Assistant Professor of Computer Information Systems.
The faculty member will teach a variety of graduate and undergraduate courses in mobile applications development, programming, algorithm design and analysis, Unix/Linux systems administration, operating systems, computer networking, database management, and other related areas in computer information systems as determined by the department needs. The faculty member will maintain scholarly academic qualification status for AACSB as defined by the College of Business Administration, Texas A&M University - Central Texas guidelines. Additional responsibilities include student academic advising; engaging in university, department and community committees and other kinds of service; and conducting research and scholarship activities.
Earned doctorate in Information Systems.
Successful candidates must demonstrate potential for effective teaching in the areas listed above and exhibit a strong record of scholarly activity in high quality peer-reviewed scholarly journals and conferences.
Recent Graduates and candidates nearing completion of the doctorate are encouraged to apply.
Demonstrate excellence in teaching and published research in the areas listed above.
Significant industry experience in Information Technology
Industry-recognized technical certifications
Experience in writing grants
Term: 9 months - Contract is officially September 1st - May 31st.
