Essential Job Duties:Temp worker/ student will help making crosses in the field, selfing cotton flowers in the field, harvesting and ginning and acid delinting cotton samples, seed preparation for storage and planting and help grow the plants in the greenhouse and the fields. Other essential duties of this position are to perform day to day activities of greenhouse care and maintenance and assist the grad students and research specialist to phenotype and genotype the cotton
accessions for establishing marker-trait associations which involves planting cotton in the greenhouses and the fields, collecting field and greenhouse based phenotypic data, collecting leaf samples, isolating DNA, PCR.
