Pro Bono Students Canada (PBSC) is an award-winning program operating in 22 law schools that provides free legal support to people and communities facing barriers to justice. For 25 years, For 25 years, PBSC has been designing high-quality legal placements and training law student volunteers to help vulnerable Canadians with their essential legal needs.

Under the general supervision of the National Director, the Communications and Projects Coordinator will be responsible for tasks that support PBSC’s communications and outreach strategies. This includes producing content in print and digital formats and providing administrative support for projects and events..

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Developing content for marketing and/or promotional materials
  • Editing content for brochures, newsletters, websites and/or handbooks
  • Formatting and maintaining communication templates
  • Tracking and monitoring digital communications activities
  • Disseminating information via social media
  • Maintaining information on digital platforms
  • Providing routine information on programs and events
  • Tracking and collecting information on project progress

+Essential Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree or acceptable combination of equivalent experience
  • Minimum two (2) years of experience in communications and/or project coordination, preferably in a university or non-profit organization setting
  • Demonstratedexperience supporting communications strategies including the development of communications, outreach and training materials
  • Experience with large scale event organization - in person and virtual events.
  • Experience managing web and social media content
  • Demonstrated excellent communication (oral and written) skills
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • HIgh level of Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint applications
  • Solid project management skills
