Job Summary A Postdoctoral Fellow position in Atmospheric Chemistry, Aerosols and Clouds is available in the School of Earth and Atmospheric Sciences at Georgia Tech. The successful candidate will participate in an upcoming NASA CAMP2EX mission investigating aerosol-cloud interactions, that focuses on the Alaskan Layered Pollution and Chemical Analysis (ALPACA) research initiative. This position will oversee and perform the research proposed in the NSF project, which involves investigating the sources of HMS, by deploying online measurements of formaldehyde (HCHO) and PM2.5 inorganic sulfate and HMS, with a PILS-IC (Particle-Into-Liquid Sampler coupled to an Ion Chromatograph) that has a proven capability to separately quantify HMS and sulfate aerosol.

Responsibilities The Postsdoc researcher will participate in the upcoming NASA CAMP2EX mission investigating aerosol-cloud interactions. This will involve providing a first quick look at NASA P3 aircraft CCN data generated during the mission and subsequent detailed data analyses focusing on aerosol-cloud interactions. This work is expected to account for roughly one-half of the full-time position available. It is anticipated that the remaining 50% of the time will focus on participating in on-going studies related to aerosol acidity, or possibly other project of interest.

Required Qualifications A PhD in Atmospheric Sciences or other related fields is required.
